We live in Buffalo so the winters get really pretty cold. We have three cats, none of which are allowed to go outside in the winter months. In the summer only one of them likes to wander the fenced in backyard but never goes far. I do always worry and feel bad for the outdoor cats I see wandering our neighborhood on some very cold days. Dogs have dog houses that they can keep warm in but I never knew a product existed for cats until I came across the KatKabin.
The KatKabin is a practical shelter that can be used both indoors and outdoors. We keep one in our downstairs where it is a little chilly but the cats like to go down there anyway. Whenever I pass by one of the three has cozies themselves up in the Kabin. Basically the plastic tubular 'Kabin' provides a shelter from the elements or just a fun place to sleep. The inside has a removable pillow that you can clean and the indoor version we have is covered on the outside by a scratcheable surface. They like to claw at it a little bit but the top is even comfortable and if the KatKabin is currently in use you will sometimes find another one of our fur babies perched on top.
The KatKabin itself is very attractive and has cute little ears on it so you know who the space is for. You can place it in a garden or on your patio. It's easy to work into your landscape and if you have to go on a trip and leave your pet with someone else it may even become a comfort item for your cat and they can take it along with them. Whether you are away for the day or your cat just likes to wander, the KatKabin is a convenient product to have around for your pet.
