Funkins for a Waste Free Meal

I often sit back and think about where can we save money when it comes to groceries, household necessities and more. The most common way most families can save money is by switching to more reusable items, especially in the kitchen. In addition to our recent switch to reusable snack bags we have also made the switch to cloth napkins. Not only can we skip finding a spot for that big bulky bag of paper napkins but we save a lot of money by using a cloth version and then tossing it in the laundry hamper to get washed with other items in the home like kitchen towels and such.

Funkins are really adorable cloth napkins that are great for use at home or in your child's lunch box. Heck, they are so cute I would use them myself. These napkins measure 13" by 15" and are double sided. They are much more durable than some of the thin, one-sided napkins I've encountered. They are so heavy duty you can even have your child use it as a placemat at the lunch table. The best part is that Funkins are completely machine washable.

Funkins come in a huge variety of colors and prints. Your little sports fan, animal lover or girly girl will have a lot of Funkins to choose from. You can even get holiday varieties that will work great as a fun holiday centerpiece to your table. Each individual Funkin is $12 or you can buy three from one theme for $30.

You can visit www.myfunkins.com for more information or to start up your very own collection of cloth napkins. The amount of trash produced during lunchtime at a school is second to office paper waste. You can cut back on this amount by switching your child over to reusable items in their lunch bag.
