Glutino- Product Review

I started eating gluten free a little over one year ago. I did it basically because of some health issues I was having. I have some chronic health conditions that I deal with but I was also experiencing bloating, stomach discomfort, shortness of breath after eating, fatigue and more. I had been reading a lot about people talking about going gluten free and how much better they felt afterwards. I didn't have much hope that going gluten free would do much for me as I didn't see any reason I would have a gluten sensitivity but I decided to take the plunge anyway. I figured I would give it a few weeks and see if I felt any better. Literally, after just one week of not eating gluten I felt a lot different. It was a few months later that I realized how much better I was feeling and that my digestive system seemed to be healing itself. While I do consume gluten sometimes I do not eat it for the most part. I never eat traditional pasta, pizza, bread, etc. I sure do miss that nice loaf of crusty bread with a nice dinner but I know that feeling so much better is worth it. Over the past year or so I have experimented with a number of different gluten free products to try and find the best items that appeal to my palette. I have been fortunate enough to sample a lot of brands' products and one of my favorites is Glutino.

Glutino makes a really affordable and wide range of products for the gluten free population. The best part is that they sell a lot of Glutino products at my local Wegmans grocery store where I shop. I like that they create a lot of gluten free products that are similar to my favorites that I miss. Some of my favorite Glutino products include:

Lemon Wafers
These are to die for. I have not seen them in my local grocery store but I would consider ordering these or shopping around for them. I used to eat these cookie like wafers when I was a kid and I sure do miss them. The lemon flavor makes these appealing for adults and they are very refreshing after a big meal. My husband, who does not eat gluten free, loves these as well and I've had to grab them from him before they all get eaten without me!

Pretzels
You'll find all kinds of pretzel varieties from Glutino and I love their consistency. I actually like them better than traditional gluten pretzels. They have this great crunch to them and you can eat them plain, dip them in a spread of some sort or my favorite, scoop up some peanut butter with them!

Bagel Chips
This is a product I really miss. I love pretzel chips with some sort of cheese spread and now I can enjoy this snack again.

Toaster Pastries
As a gluten free alternative to those old school Pop Tarts, you can enjoy a much healthier and safer version from Glutino. There are a variety of flavors available and they are all really tasty. I always worry about GF pastries being crumbly and what not but this dough is really tasty and well made.
