Wedding Facilities in Western New York

Planning a wedding is a much bigger task than most people think it is. The even harder part is trying to plan a wedding on a tight budget. Weddings can range between $5,000 and $50,000 these days, and staying closer to that $5,000 mark is quite a feat. In Buffalo, NY there are a ton of options when it comes to places to have your reception. The three places I have chosen to outline encompass qualities any bride and groom would want to be included in their memories of their big day.

The first place I have chose in the Old Orchard Inn. It is located at 2095 Blakeley Corners Rd in East Aurora. The facility is actually a very old farmhouse built in the 1880's, turned into a restaurant, which holds 45 people, an upstairs dining area that holds 35 people, and a covered outdoor patio that can hold up to 200 people. It is in a very quaint area, with wild birds flying around, and a beautiful pond right on the restaurant's property. There are brick pathways all through the area, a gazebo, and even a gift shop. Though it's in a very quiet area, it's minutes from the thruway, so guests who aren't so familiar with the area can get there quite easily.

The banquet menu has many options to choose from including sit down options, an hor d'oeuvre option, and a buffet option. The staff is very flexible and can mix and match whichever you choose. Some of the amazing sit down options include tender filet bits in a pepper sauce, or chicken with artichoke hearts and capers. Their menu is classy, yet unique. Prices are incredibly reasonable. For 70 guests having a sit down dinner with open bar, you can keep your prices under $3,000 easily.
Another facility in Buffalo is Salvatore's Italian Gardens, which is located at 6461 Transit Road in Depew.

Salvatore's is the epitome of a classic Italian restaurant / banquet facility. Their entire property and building is always decorated for the appropriate seasons, allowing for numerous locations to take beautiful photos. There are a few options for rooms depending on the party size, but Salvatore's can accommodate any party size in one of their charming ballrooms.

Elegance is the key word in what kind of wedding you'll end up having here. Again, prices are very reasonable, and you have simple options like strip steak, or prime rib, or you can choose a classic Italian dish like veal parmigiana. Separate bars are set up in each room for your guest's convenience, and they truly transform each room into your own special place for your dream wedding. The Garden Place Hotel is also owned by Salvatore's, and is just minutes down the road. Salvatore's gives your guests a discounted rate, and the happy couple enjoys their wedding night in a complimentary honeymoon suite.

Ripa's is a facility located at 4218 Walden Ave. in Lancaster. It was created in the 1940's, and their amazing food is their specialty, and they are very easy to work with for an event, and will accommodate just about anything you are looking to do with your wedding. They have a few rooms to choose from, and can accommodate a very large number of people, or can make one of their rooms intimate and classy for a smaller affair. There are luncheon options, sit down options, buffet options, and family style options among others. Basically, Ripa's will create for you, whatever you are looking for. They even have a cocktail party option for a more laid back affair. Prices are on par with the Old Orchard Inn and Salvatore's, however they are expecting a 20% increase on all prices in 2006. Their grounds are well kept, but it is a smaller venue, and isn't set back in a natural setting like Old Orchard is. What you see is pretty much what you get. The staff is very easy to work with though, and you still have every opportunity to make your big night everything you want it to be.

These facilities are all very unique, and these are only 3 of the wedding facilities in the area of Buffalo, NY. A lot of research goes into the perfect venue, but these definitely are three of the best I have found. Each offers you basic needs, but they also throw in their own special touches to accommodate you and your guests, and make your night not one to forget.
